Welcome to the hey mod how do I? Page.

Here I will explain some of the basic things you can do in Disqus like how to put spoiler on a message and how to tag someone.

This is mainly for people who don't use Disqus for anything but commenting on Anime sites and are new to the Disqus chatroom set-up.

First we'll see how to tag someone.

For that, you'll first need to understand the difference between Username and Display name.

Usernames can only be found when you check someone's profile, while the display name is what you see when someone comment's on any site.

Tagging someone can only be done via the username if you use the display name chances are you will tag someone else or the tag simply won't work.

After getting the username you need to type @Username here:disqus

Remember that ":disqus" at the end has to be completely the same as said here and shown in the gif below even one misspell/change of any kind will break it and the tag won't work. 

Also the username always comes after the @.

Now that I've explained how to tag we'll move to how to spoiler a message.

In the comment box on the left side of the "comment" button you will see these options.

 

Or if you're on mobile Then you'll have to click on the "Aa" button right beside the image picker.

And you'll see all the options.

Out of these options you can see a crossed Eye icon which is the one used for making a message spoilered. To use it you'll simply have to click on it and then type wherever you wish to mark as spoiler.

And the same goes for any image.

As for the other options you can use them the same way as spoiler that is shown in the gif above.

Now here's a pic listing each option. Their names are how they'll look as a comment if used.

Now for the mention Section.

Simply by clicking on that option you'll get a list of users to tag from you can search for a particular user as well as shown in the gif below. 

Now I have no clue what is required for a user to be included in that list or how it actually works. If I ever figure it out I'll update this.

As for what the other first 2 icons do I'll start from left to right:

The gif icon will open a inbuilt gif section.

The one beside it will let you choose a pic through your device as shown in the gif above for image spoiler.

Thats quite it. I may add more things here later on, as I learn myself, but for now this is all that I have to tell.
