The reason for this is unclear, but I suspect that either the Channels are not profitable or they incur high maintenance costs. Hence the shutdown.

Disqus will be shutting down this section of their platform, but that doesn't mean we are helpless. It doesn't matter whether you're from Anime, Chit Chat, Music, Movies, Gaming, Sports, Food or Pets. Everyone is welcome! This is a community for people with all kinds of interests.
